| University City -
More than just a
community within the wonderful city of San Diego, it is part of the
famous Golden Triangle and offers a lifestyle and neighborhood feel like
none other. The secluded area nestled between Rose Canyon (which was
named after Louis Rose who was an early settler and purchased the canyon
in the late 1800's) to the south, and U.T.C. to the north is just a
quick jaunt to the beaches, La Jolla, and all major freeway routes. Our
quaint shopping centers offer everything a resident needs, but the
community maintains a strong sense of family and there is not much
over-flow thoroughfare in the area which keeps it safe and quiet for all
of the residents. The busy inlets into the neighborhood, Genesee and
Regents never get too overburdened with traffic and do not affect the
living and lifestyles of the area. The popularity of the neighborhood
has been growing over the last few years, and many people are moving
here to be part of this wonderful community. The area is well
maintained, with sidewalks filled with kids, parents, and the elderly
strolling on their walks. The quality and recognition of the schools in
the area appeal to many of the families moving in. The parks and
recreation center offers many activities for the residents and during
little league season, Saturdays at the parks are full of little kids in
uniforms with parents and neighborhood supporters cheering them on. U.C.
is just a brief jaunt away from all main freeways which makes access to
any part of San Diego very easy. And, always remember we are surrounded
by Rose canyon which is a wonderful area to walk through-and it is never
a surprise to see some natural wildlife running/flying through our
canyons and residential areas.
When people move into University City, they are usually members of the
community for many years, and generations to come. This is one of the
finest, safest neighborhoods in San Diego.
